The Absolute Brake AB400L Air Brake Plunger Securing Device is for early model trucks that have not replaced the original PP-DC or MV-3 Valves. Currently on clearance and limited to stock on hand. Lock is included. The early model designs have a STOP on the shaft of the controller valve. This design is still being offered as a replacement unit.
Installation Instructions
Prior to placing the Absolute Brake® AB400L into position, the Absolute Brake® Cap should be facing the person applying the AB400L device (see Figure # 1).
Lightly swivel the AB400L back and forth in between the base of the Bendix Air Brake Controller Valve and the Plunger Knob/Cap, until it locks securely into place (See Figure # 2).
Once in position, the AB400L should be a snug fit and the operator should not be able to engage the parking brake – you may need to adjust the Plunger Knob by either turning it clockwise or counter-clockwise (see Figure # 3).
There are flared entry holes on both sides of AB400L for the optional Master Lock® to easily slide all the way through the device and, once completely through the holes, it can be easily locked (see Figure # 4).
To remove the AB400L Air Brake Plunger Securing Device, simply swivel the device back and forth while pulling the device away from the control valve. We hope you enjoy the Safety, Security & Peace of Mind this product provides you!
